To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Alan Moruga hit a great ball. In the 10th minute of the match 许鹏希 shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from 尹俊义 went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score.
