Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Miljeteig having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 12th minute of play forced Daustad's goalkeeper Christian Miljeteig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Sebastian Kvernmo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christian Miljeteig. Daustad's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Daustad's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Miljeteig came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christian Miljeteig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 19th minute of play. Lars Støylen kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Cristian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Agustín Saelices recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Daustad's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 31st minute Christian Liknes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Christian Miljeteig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 35th minute of play. After 36 played minutes Daustad got a freekick which was hit by Lars Obrestad. 38 minutes into the match, Daustad's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Christian Miljeteig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Christian Miljeteig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 44th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christian Liknes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 50 minutes, Tobias Bjørdal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Daustad and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Daustad's goalkeeper Christian Miljeteig, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Daustad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tom Dyrnes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 70 in the game by Daniel Zorita from a close distance when the talented Christian Miljeteig managed to make a qualified save. Daustad's players were relieved.
