Dave Rinaldi came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 57th minute. Dave Rinaldi was a little too slow when Daniel Zorita got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 0-2. After 63 minutes, Luis Andino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the Elegance Dijon players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabien Cantin in the 93rd minute of play. In the 96th minute, one of Elegance Dijon:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Elegance Dijon. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
