The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ulises Vimaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ulises Vimaro in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardo Zorita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 9 minutes into the match, Suttum FC's goal looked a bit too open when Moises Fernandino came free, but Dráusio Duarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sjaak Borker received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ricardo Zorita came out and tried to block the shot, but Sjaak Borker slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 12th minute. 17 minutes into the game, Sjaak Borker cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Ricardo Zorita was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Suttum FC's Ulises Vimaro in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye El Salvador's goalie prevented a goal. Jesus Carvallo kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After 23 played minutes, Suttum FC's Elco Popping shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Suttum FC reached it. Moises Fernandino might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dráusio Duarte. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Moises Fernandino ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 31st minute, Ulises Vimaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ulises Vimaro scored 3-0 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Zorita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moises Fernandino in the 35th minute of play forced Suttum FC's goalkeeper Dráusio Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jesus Carvallo kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save El Salvador from getting a goal against them. El Salvador's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gerjan Mos 47 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ulises Vimaro made a kick off. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerjan Mos, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 55 minutes into the game, Sjaak Borker cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Ricardo Zorita was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dick Trenning's late challenge caught a El Salvador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dick Trenning helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Suttum FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Dick Trenning hit a great ball. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulises Vimaro in the 64th minute of play. 68 minutes into the game, Suttum FC's Ulises Vimaro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Zorita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. In the 73rd minute, Ulises Vimaro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Suttum FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. When Abram Luque came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the El Salvador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abram Luque couldn't finish the play. El Salvador's attentive Valentino Ferrant managed to snatch the ball when Danny Compaan made a throw-in in the 80th minute of the game. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sjaak Borker in the 82nd minute of play. In the 83rd minute of the match Elco Popping sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricardo Zorita skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Suttum FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Sjaak Borker hit a great ball. Elco Popping took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 100th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
