When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. Tacheros OFF's Rodolfo Anaya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Tacheros OFF from getting a goal against them. Rodolfo Anaya made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 10th minute. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 18th minute of play forced Tacheros OFF's goalkeeper Rodolfo Anaya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Rodolfo Anaya skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 22 minutes, Alonzo Laurentzi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tacheros OFF and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 22nd match minute, Tacheros OFF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonzo Laurentzi to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute Adolfo Blanco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute of the match Tacheros OFF got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jan-Ove Tunander ran over to the corner to take the kick. 30 minutes into the match, Tacheros OFF's goalkeeper Rodolfo Anaya had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 34 minutes into the game Felix Montenegro took the chance and shot a long shot on goal. In spite of Rodolfo Anaya awareness of the shot he didn't succeed to stop the ball, and watched as it rolled inside the left pole. 1-0. When Mattin Solbeida fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tacheros OFF's protests and gave Mattin Solbeida a yellow card for diving instead. Tacheros OFF's Rodolfo Anaya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Tacheros OFF from getting a goal against them. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after Tacheros OFF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Daniel Zorita took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Rodolfo Anaya to make any attempt to save it. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Najarro, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Rodolfo Anaya made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Christian Najarro made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Tacheros OFF's Matias Iztal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rodolfo Anaya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 54th minute of play. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Rodolfo Anaya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodolfo Anaya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 59th minute of the match. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 61st minute. In the 63rd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Rodolfo Anaya despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Tacheros OFF's Rodolfo Anaya. Rodolfo Anaya was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 68th minute of play forced Tacheros OFF's goalkeeper Rodolfo Anaya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mattin Solbeida in the 82nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tacheros OFF's Rodolfo Anaya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 84th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 85th minute of play forced Tacheros OFF's goalkeeper Rodolfo Anaya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Christian Najarro sent off a good shot on target. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Rodolfo Anaya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodolfo Anaya. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. Rodolfo Anaya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ecuador had played much better football throughout.
