The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Axel Tasis's late challenge caught a LDB United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Axel Tasis helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harry Huijghens in the 30th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lautaro Puig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Eliseo Noboa hit a great ball. With a little luck, LDB United's Mauro Feo got control of the ball when Lautaro Puig tried to sneak it across the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

In the 54th minute, Matthis Pelgrims had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hugo Ferrant during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. LDB United made a substitution. Steff Claevers replaced Matthis Pelgrims. In the 55th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Ferrant to maneuver through the defense. A very good chance. 0-1 became the score in the 80th minute when Harry Huijghens elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 85 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Harry Huijghens came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Harry Huijghens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute, Harry Huijghens fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alexander Carballo got a free kick in the 94th minute. After having played for 95 minutes, Berkan İnanöz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LDB United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Berkan İnanöz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The LDB United players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
