In the 46th minute, Emmanuel Reyes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Primitivo Lander was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 47th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.

Julian Murillo took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alejandro Terciero. Alejandro Terciero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alejandro Terciero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pinocho Pelotari F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. Luz Tejedor made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that Pinocho Pelotari F.C.'s Alejandro Terciero managed to reach the ball for a save. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Taavi Noormägi in the 80 minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Alejandro Terciero in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alejandro Terciero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Maximo Mitxaut made in the 91st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Alejandro Terciero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Gallo, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. When Maximo Mitxaut fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pinocho Pelotari F.C.'s protests and gave Maximo Mitxaut a yellow card for diving instead. In the 93rd minute, Maximo Mitxaut hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Pinocho Pelotari F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eliseo Mina ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of Pinocho Pelotari F.C. booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emmanuel Reyes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Peru players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
