Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Francisco Seco got the match started through his kick off. Harald Fridlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Escribano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Harald Fridlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 10th minute of play forced The Green Fairies's goalkeeper Harald Fridlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uruguay were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after The Green Fairies's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jaime Cazalla took the corner. The corner ended in Jaime Cazalla almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but The Green Fairies's Harald Fridlund did a great save. Folke Skoglund could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Joaquin Gayoso made a huge save. Maximiliano Escribano scored 0-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Harald Fridlund, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Camilo Franco kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. The supporters of Uruguay booed when The Green Fairies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per-Erik Juhlin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Green Fairies's Harald Fridlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 43rd minute of play. In the 45th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximiliano Escribano to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vincent Mossberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Green Fairies's Harald Fridlund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save The Green Fairies from getting a goal against them. Vincent Mossberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Uruguay booed when The Green Fairies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per-Erik Juhlin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 66 minutes, Jaime Cazalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Cazalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72nd minute Folke Skoglund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vincent Mossberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Uruguay's zone, Vincent Mossberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal and Vincent Mossberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 78th play minutes Folke Skoglund shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Joaquin Gayoso and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 83rd minute, Folke Skoglund ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Gayoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Joaquin Gayoso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Folke Skoglund went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. When Francisco Seco came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Seco couldn't finish the play. Leonardo Lindholm kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Harald Fridlund made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 94th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Francisco Seco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Harald Fridlund. That made the score 4-2 in the 94 minute of play. Uruguay's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
