A sloppy throw-in by Dariusz Zembrzuski in the 41st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Anthony Alvarado. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İbrahim Efe Akarsu, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Julian Murillo in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gong Ying Zheng, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. VC zoetwater made a substitution. Fabien Pardons replaced Gusztáv Bács. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Dariusz Zembrzuski made a throw-in in the 72nd minute of the game. 73 minutes into the match, VC zoetwater's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Gong Ying Zheng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Julian Murillo came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. After 91 minutes VC zoetwater's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eliseo Mina who took care of the corner kick. 94 minutes into the game, Rafael Gallo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gong Ying Zheng. Rafael Gallo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3.
