The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Man Tas in the 6th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tobias Elizardo stood somewhat misplaced when Orlando Casaus came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 8 minute. Man Tas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Man Tas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago Pliego was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Man Tas in the 19th minute of play. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Tobias Elizardo made a huge save. Sarmiento de Resistencia's Tobias Elizardo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Sarmiento de Resistencia from getting a goal against them. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alex Herrero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tobias Elizardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After 81 minutes of play, Chile's Mariano Lacasa made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tobias Elizardo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tobias Elizardo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Lacasa went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Herrero in the 90th minute of play. Tobias Elizardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Casaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. In the last second Thiago Pliego throw himself and got hold of the ball when Alex Herrero in the 96thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sarmiento de Resistencia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Chile.
