Uruguay's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Loid Vrints 5 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Sam-Lucas Mertens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17thth minute of the game Francisco Seco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kaysersheim's Otoniel Mondragon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joaquin Gayoso made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Sam-Lucas Mertens sent off a good shot on target. Otoniel Mondragon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Escribano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 22 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Gisbert. Sam-Lucas Mertens's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Joaquin Gayoso firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 29th minute Alberto Gisbert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otoniel Mondragon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. Loid Vrints came free with the goalkeeper in the 34th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Joaquin Gayoso could save by the left post. Sam-Lucas Mertens might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquin Gayoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sam-Lucas Mertens ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 40th minute of play forced Kaysersheim's goalkeeper Otoniel Mondragon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the game, Maximiliano Escribano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Otoniel Mondragon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francisco Seco was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Kaysersheim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matijs De Vlaeminck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matijs De Vlaeminck was slow to take the kick. During this time Kaysersheim's players had a chance to rest. In the 66th minute, Loid Vrints hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The corner led Uruguay's Jaime Cazalla to fire away a dangerous shot which Otoniel Mondragon despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Francisco Seco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Otoniel Mondragon when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Sam-Lucas Mertens kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After 75 played minutes Kaysersheim got a freekick which was hit by Dimitri Wittemans. 77 minutes into the game, Francisco Seco lined in a short shot 1-2 behind a frustrated Otoniel Mondragon. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Otoniel Mondragon in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Francisco Seco's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 81stth minute, Otoniel Mondragon skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Seco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Otoniel Mondragon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Stijn De Schepper fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kaysersheim's protests and gave Stijn De Schepper a yellow card for diving instead. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Otoniel Mondragon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Kaysersheim supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Uruguay's performance. The match ended with a win for Uruguay.
