Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Daniel Zorita made the kick off and thus started the match. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lico Tarin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ecuador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 9th minute, when Lico Tarin scored to the left of an out of position Julio Vera, making the score, 1-1. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronny Engström having to interfere. The supporters of Ecuador booed when ATLETAS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dominik Fink didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 22 played minutes Lico Tarin rounded Ecuador's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. ATLETAS FC's Ronny Engström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. ATLETAS FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Lico Tarin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Lico Tarin tried to sneak it across the goal line. ATLETAS FC's Lico Tarin got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 47 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lico Tarin made a kick off. After 52 played minutes ATLETAS FC got a freekick which was hit by Erubiel Madaleno. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lico Tarin in the 66th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, ATLETAS FC's goalkeeper Ronny Engström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Lico Tarin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lico Tarin in the 69th minute of play. Lico Tarin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. In the 75th minute, Lico Tarin made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eutropio Turienzo in the 82nd minute of play. ATLETAS FC's Eutropio Turienzo managed to work through Ecuador's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Eutropio Turienzo dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eutropio Turienzo in the 84th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino got a free kick in the 85th minute. Eutropio Turienzo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eutropio Turienzo in the 90th minute of play. After 91 minutes of play, ATLETAS FC's Eutropio Turienzo made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there!
