Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 13th minute, Felix Montenegro made a precise shot to the right of Attilio Proia. FataMorgana's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Luis Andino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Attilio Proia in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Attilio Proia made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 24th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of FataMorgana's Attilio Proia. Attilio Proia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 33rd minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciccio Nazzari in the 34th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Biagio Guerra came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Felix Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The supporters of Ecuador booed when FataMorgana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cosimo Lucidi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Ciccio Nazzari came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ciccio Nazzari stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Biagio Guerra tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 61st minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Attilio Proia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 63rd minute of play forced FataMorgana's goalkeeper Attilio Proia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FataMorgana's Attilio Proia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 64th minute of play. 66 minutes into the game, Agustín Saelices cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Attilio Proia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Biagio Guerra might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Biagio Guerra ran back to his position shaking his head. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Biagio Guerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 91st minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Attilio Proia was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0.
