Ludvig Sundberg made in the 21st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Calle Kvist however managed to control. Jacinto Pinto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Henrik Belkå was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tomas Illescas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 31 minute of play. After 35 played minutes The Wild Bunch got a freekick which was hit by Alvar Sellberg. In the 41st minute, Alvar Sellberg made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvar Sellberg in the 45th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Jacinto Pinto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. After 64 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. The The Wild Bunch fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when The Wild Bunch's Alvar Sellberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 67 played minutes The Wild Bunch got a freekick which was hit by Fritz Vinström. In the 71st minute Jacinto Pinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Henrik Belkå made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 83rd minute of play. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Henrik Belkå having to make a save. 91 minutes into the match, Sture Bergqvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sture Bergqvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacinto Pinto during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Venezuela booed when The Wild Bunch was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Pinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over The Wild Bunch could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Venezuela throughout the match.
