The Rapid Punta Cana fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Veguri in the 19th minute of play. Patricio Veguri took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Veguri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patricio Veguri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Alex Chicote hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 41 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Veguri, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Patricio Veguri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Patricio Veguri to strike the kick off in the second half. Ali Atıf Harmanda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patricio Veguri struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rapid Punta Cana. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Veguri in the 72nd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute, Rapid Punta Cana's Domingo Lozano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. Kurt Rosen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 88th minute of play. In the 95th minute, Sebastián Prado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rapid Punta Cana's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
