Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Zorita got the match started through his kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patricio Veguri in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Kurt Rosen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, Rapid Punta Cana's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Kurt Rosen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11thth minute of the game Patricio Veguri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 14th minute, Domingo Lozano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 16th minute of play forced Rapid Punta Cana's goalkeeper Kurt Rosen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Kurt Rosen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Agustín Saelices took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kurt Rosen. In the 29th match minute, Rapid Punta Cana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paul Westerberg to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Veguri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Patricio Veguri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Veguri, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. When Patricio Veguri came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Rapid Punta Cana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Veguri couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Veguri in the 73rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 75thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Rapid Punta Cana's keeper Kurt Rosen was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. In the 76th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Rapid Punta Cana's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, Rapid Punta Cana's Vladimiros Koutsis got a free kick in the 78th minute. With a little luck, Rapid Punta Cana's Kurt Rosen got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Patricio Veguri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Veguri in the 82nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Domingo Lozano in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 87th minute Rapid Punta Cana were awarded a corner. Domingo Lozano went to the cornerflag to take it. Rapid Punta Cana's Domingo Lozano was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, Rapid Punta Cana's Lisandro Harvey got a free kick in the 89th minute. Kurt Rosen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 91st minute. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Kurt Rosen made a huge save. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 93rd minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Rapid Punta Cana's goalie and right to Luis Andino. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Rapid Punta Cana's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Ecuador played a much better game than Rapid Punta Cana and deserved their victory. The Rapid Punta Cana players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
