Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Toro Halland started the match with the kick off. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Herbert Skrzypiec sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Benito Sanz managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Centeno's Toro Halland fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 9th minute, Toro Halland made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Toro Halland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Victorio Matai kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. In the 17th minute Toro Halland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abelardo Bernabel was extremely unlucky when he, in the 20th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The audience was convinced that Herbert Skrzypiec's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Juan Rubio charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toro Halland in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toro Halland in the 29th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Toro Halland had several of the Costa Rica's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 32 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 4-0 score and a disappointed Benito Sanz as he didn't even see the shot coming. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toro Halland in the 40th minute of play. After having played for 41 minutes, Herbert Skrzypiec managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Centeno's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herbert Skrzypiec was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Toro Halland received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Toro Halland slotted it home off the left post making it 6-0 in the 42nd minute. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Toro Halland took a quick shot and it went in 7-0 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 7-0.
When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Toro Halland sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. Toro Halland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toro Halland in the 59th minute of the match. Gogo Clodio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 63rd minute, Juan Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65thth minute Herbert Skrzypiec easily got through Costa Rica's defense and fired away a shot, but Benito Sanz leaped left and performed a fabulous save. After a long run with the ball, Herbert Skrzypiec did a trick in the 65th minute in front of Costa Rica's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 9-0. An impressive performance by Centeno's Herbert Skrzypiec! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Toro Halland in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toro Halland, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorio Matai in the 73rd minute of the match. When Herbert Skrzypiec came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Centeno fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Herbert Skrzypiec couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Toro Halland's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. 96 minutes into the match, Centeno's Herbert Skrzypiec sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
