After 8 minutes Jofurs Drängar's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Jofurs Drängar's goalie and right to Alberto Tafalla. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Jofurs Drängar's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 12 minutes in the game, Lautaro Mancebo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ola Berg having to interfere. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Felix Luque hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 17th minute of play forced Jofurs Drängar's goalkeeper Ola Berg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Gaona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ola Berg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfons Helström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ola Berg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cirilo Lefebre in the 27th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Jofurs Drängar's goal looked a bit too open when Facundo Cadaval came free, but Ola Berg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ola Berg quite easily take care of the ball. In the 38th minute, Cirilo Lefebre made a precise shot to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfons Helström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 45 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Tafalla. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Alfons Helström made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Cirilo Lefebre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jofurs Drängar's Ola Berg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 56th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Jofurs Drängar's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Ola Berg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Kristoffer Hedström fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jofurs Drängar's protests and gave Kristoffer Hedström a yellow card for diving instead. Kristoffer Hedström hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 92nd match minute, Jofurs Drängar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristoffer Hedström to maneuver through the defense. Joel Gaona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ola Berg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Despite being the better team, Mexico failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
