Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Beppe Faiella kicked off to start the match. The Atletico Kankero fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Comunardo Marsili should have stopped the shot. Comunardo Marsili showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 26th minute of the match. Comunardo Marsili made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute of play. Comunardo Marsili took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. In the last second Julio Vera throw himself and got hold of the ball when Amos Urbani in the 45thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Cristiano De Vincentis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Sancho hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fedele Pedroni in the 69th minute of play. Comunardo Marsili showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ernesto Ferri in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Comunardo Marsili in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 91 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Comunardo Marsili was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
