Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Barış İdilkurt in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. In the 14th minute, Özdemir Hisar made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 19th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barış İdilkurt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barış İdilkurt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 22nd minute of play forced DerbedeR spor's goalkeeper Barış İdilkurt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Barış İdilkurt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Özdemir Hisar came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Barış İdilkurt having to make a save. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Barış İdilkurt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela.

The wind increased when Özdemir Hisar made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barış İdilkurt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Barış İdilkurt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Barış İdilkurt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Barış İdilkurt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, DerbedeR spor's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Barış İdilkurt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the DerbedeR spor defense, Tomas Illescas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Barış İdilkurt. The DerbedeR spor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Barış İdilkurt should have stopped the shot. Timur Ökkeş kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Barış İdilkurt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. In the 74th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barış İdilkurt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barış İdilkurt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Barış İdilkurt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Tomas Illescas made in the 83rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Jose Correa. 84 minutes into the match, Patricio Costa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Barış İdilkurt. DerbedeR spor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patricio Costa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 94th minute of play forced DerbedeR spor's goalkeeper Barış İdilkurt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Barış İdilkurt having to make a save. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Venezuela had played much better football throughout.
