Paredes Goiano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alexander Söderström kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the game, Joel Gaona recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Paredes Goiano. Joel Gaona showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Paredes Goiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 35th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Manchester City's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by Manchester City's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. 42 minutes into the game, Alberto Tafalla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Paredes Goiano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 44 minutes into the match, Manchester City's goalkeeper Paredes Goiano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. With his leg Dante Lacasa managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Manchester City's Richard Edström fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Alberto Tafalla took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paredes Goiano. Paredes Goiano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. In the 63rd minute of the match, Ulf Tingelholm tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dante Lacasa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mexico's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Malte Göransson was slow to take the kick. During this time Manchester City's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Manchester City's corner Malte Göransson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dante Lacasa quite easily take care of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paredes Goiano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paredes Goiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Leoz in the 76th minute of the match. In the 76th minute, Leonardo Leoz made a precise shot to the right of Paredes Goiano. Manchester City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. In the 79th match minute, Manchester City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egon Browald to maneuver through the defense. Paredes Goiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 85th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 86th minute of play forced Manchester City's goalkeeper Paredes Goiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Manchester City's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Paredes Goiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paredes Goiano having to interfere. Egon Browald kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match.
