Otis Short received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Colombia booed when The Team FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raul Bowen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute of the match Axel Montenegro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aníbal Lorenzi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Cao Shi Yi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Cao Shi Yi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 14 minutes The Team FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Axel Montenegro who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Colombia's Santino Seco getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Cao Shi Yi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of The Team FC booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcus Fransson kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Aníbal Lorenzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shelton Flanagan in the 29th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Shelton Flanagan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The The Team FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. When Colombia's Abram Sarmiento in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shelton Flanagan, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The Team FC's Aníbal Lorenzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 41st minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, Colombia's Axel Montenegro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aníbal Lorenzi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cao Shi Yi to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Axel Montenegro took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Aníbal Lorenzi to make any attempt to save it. A throw-in in the 57th minute of the game was made by Shelton Flanagan with Otis Short as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 63rd minute, Cao Shi Yi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Manzanares was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. In the 68th minute, Cao Shi Yi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Shelton Flanagan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of The Team FC booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Mastache didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute Cao Shi Yi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcus Fransson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 80 minutes into the match, The Team FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Mastache came free, but Aníbal Lorenzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute, Ignacio Mastache reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aníbal Lorenzi. The goal made the score 4-3. In the 88th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevin Mastache to maneuver through the defense. When Grant Foote came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the The Team FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Grant Foote couldn't finish the play. The Team FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
