Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Joel Gaona started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Alberto Tafalla scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aron Neculce, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 5th minute, Ninjas in Pyjamas's Aurelian Zogreanu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. In the 16th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aron Neculce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Ninjas in Pyjamas's Aron Neculce. Aron Neculce was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Mexico booed when Ninjas in Pyjamas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornel Surdilă didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aron Neculce came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo. But to his dismay, Lautaro Mancebo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Aron Neculce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aron Neculce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Lautaro Mancebo took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aron Neculce. Aron Neculce dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Ninjas in Pyjamas's Florin Griguță managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Leonardo Leoz in the 34 minute of the game. After having played for 36 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aron Neculce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 37th minute of the match. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after Ninjas in Pyjamas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aron Neculce having to interfere. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Aron Neculce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th match minute, Ninjas in Pyjamas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florin Griguță to maneuver through the defense. 47 minutes into the game, Mexico's Joel Gaona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aron Neculce made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-5.

Petre Izbașa hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute, Joel Gaona sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ninjas in Pyjamas's Aron Neculce didn't even have to move. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Aron Neculce in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Ninjas in Pyjamas booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Rouco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute Aurelian Zogreanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ninjas in Pyjamas's Aron Neculce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Horea Zâncă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aron Neculce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Facundo Cadaval reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aron Neculce. The goal made the score 1-6. Aron Neculce was a little too slow when Joel Gaona got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 1-7. After 79 minutes of play Ninjas in Pyjamas's Horea Zâncă was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ninjas in Pyjamas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Mexico's Joel Gaona to fire away a dangerous shot which Aron Neculce despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With his leg Aron Neculce managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when Mexico's Alberto Tafalla fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 94th minute, Mexico's Joel Gaona ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aron Neculce. Aron Neculce yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-9.
