Sören Fredriksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rickard Göransson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Venegas kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Charles Emander kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Arne Tunström came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Arne Tunström, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 43rdth minute, when Mesopotamia Beth-Nahrin's Sven-Arne Tunström fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match clock showed 43 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Sven-Arne Tunström sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 55thth minute of the game Sven-Arne Tunström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Mesopotamia Beth-Nahrin's Johan Engman tried to score from far away in the 59th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Charles Emander made in the 66th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Johan Enström however managed to control. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Arne Tunström, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After 69 minutes, Sven-Arne Tunström made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Mark Smed, made in the 78th minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rickard Göransson in the 81st minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Jonathan Venegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Sven-Arne Tunström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Ahlin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Sven-Arne Tunström made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0.
