Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th minute, Luis Andino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 23rd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montes to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute Nils-Emil Ekrot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robert Boklund was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Robert Boklund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Robert Boklund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the match, Juan Sebastián Puig had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Robert Boklund. Mesopotamia Beth-Nahrin's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juan Sebastián Puig was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 42nd minute of play forced Mesopotamia Beth-Nahrin's goalkeeper Robert Boklund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Robert Boklund made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Juan Sebastián Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. 48 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eddie Smefeldt. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 56 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Robert Boklund made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Robert Boklund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Hökkvist in the 62nd minute of play. Felix Montenegro scored 0-8 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Robert Boklund, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 67 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Robert Boklund. Mesopotamia Beth-Nahrin's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Robert Boklund in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Åke Grönlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mesopotamia Beth-Nahrin's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Cristian Sancho scored to the left of an out of position Robert Boklund, making the score, 0-10. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agustín Saelices got free with Robert Boklund in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
