With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Maximiliano Escribano hit a great ball. Mikolaj Falkowski in the 10thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Joaquin Gayoso, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Iwan Wierzbicki in the 13 minute of the game. 15 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mikolaj Falkowski. Jorge Sainz hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Leon Turok made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 22nd minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Camilo Franco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mikolaj Falkowski got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mikolaj Falkowskis short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Joaquin Gayoso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Uruguay booed when DOJLIDY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tolek Jaworski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquin Gayoso was out of position in the 38 minute of play, and Tolek Jaworski capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tolek Jaworski really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Pankracy Pinczewski hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Leon Turok showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Seco in the 62nd minute of the match. After 64 minutes, Tolek Jaworski made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
