In the 30th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Olaf Arnista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 33rd minute of the match. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Agustín Saelices in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olaf Arnista saved Onizuka team Kraków from getting behind. The corner led to Ecuador's Luis Andino getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Agustín Saelicess short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Olaf Arnista to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olaf Arnista having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Onizuka team Kraków's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Olaf Arnista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 75 minutes, Ulryk Tokarczyk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Onizuka team Kraków's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulryk Tokarczyk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Olaf Arnista made a huge save. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelino Arlo in the 79th minute of play. After 89 played minutes Onizuka team Kraków got a freekick which was hit by Diogo de Mendonça. In the 91st minute, Marcin Majerowicz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olaf Arnista saved Onizuka team Kraków from getting behind. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
