Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Joel Gaona kicked off to start the match. MALÉV SC's Kálmán Gyarmati played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 9th minute of play. With a little luck, MALÉV SC's Kálmán Gyarmati got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Benedek Asztalos took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 15 played minutes MALÉV SC got a freekick which was hit by Béla Pásztor. After a defensive mix-up in MALÉV SC's zone, Alberto Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kálmán Gyarmati came out of the goal and Alberto Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedek Asztalos in the 25th minute of play. Kálmán Gyarmati made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. In the 29th match minute, MALÉV SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by László Gyárfás to maneuver through the defense. In the last second Kálmán Gyarmati throw himself and got hold of the ball when Joel Gaona in the 34thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Kálmán Gyarmati tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lautaro Mancebo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kálmán Gyarmati having to make a save. Géza Veress hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Alberto Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Kálmán Gyarmati didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. 47 minutes into the match, Mexico's Joel Gaona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kálmán Gyarmati narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Béla Pásztor to make the kick off. Koppány Szepesi hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Béla Pásztor notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 63 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of MALÉV SC's Kálmán Gyarmati. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 66th minute of play forced MALÉV SC's goalkeeper Kálmán Gyarmati to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kálmán Gyarmati came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Béla Pásztor kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Kálmán Gyarmati stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joel Gaona's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Mexico's Joel Gaona got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 80 minutes into the match, MALÉV SC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Kálmán Gyarmati reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tibor Fülöp in the 82nd minute. After having played for 85 minutes, Ákos Szigeti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MALÉV SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ákos Szigeti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Luca Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luca Zorita couldn't finish the play. 89 minutes into the match, MALÉV SC's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Kálmán Gyarmati reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 89 minutes into the game, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kálmán Gyarmati made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-3. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mexico's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
