ReyPoxo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leif Larsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Diego Bradley kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. The supporters of ReyPoxo booed when USA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Monty Rogers didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Tales Lucas came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the ReyPoxo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tales Lucas couldn't finish the play. Zoilo Coira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Mcdonald, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. USA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cassius Byrne in the 26th minute. In the 30th minute Cassius Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zoilo Coira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albano Hegoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Day having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Tales Lucas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jenson Smith blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zoilo Coira having to make a save. Zoilo Coira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Mcdonald, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After a rather tough play, USA's Jenson Smith got a free kick in the 46th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cassius Byrne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edward Mcdonald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jenson Smith in the 54th minute of play forced ReyPoxo's goalkeeper Zoilo Coira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ReyPoxo's Juan Pablo Yanovitskiy was substituted for Christer Collin. Samuel Etoo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 66th playminute. USA's Sam Campbell was substituted for Cassius Byrne. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Etoo in the 71st minute of the match. Samuel Etoo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zoilo Coira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Day was left in no man's land by his defense there! USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sam Campbell in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zoilo Coira saved ReyPoxo from getting behind. Zoilo Coira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Khalid Parry in the 95th minute of the match. ReyPoxo were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over USA's much stronger midfield.
