Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Venelin Izvorski, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Venelin Izvorski in the 9th minute of play. Rosen Michkov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 11 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. After 13 minutes, Stanoy Krústenov made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Rosen Michkov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Rosen Michkov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Slavyan Dudumov kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by CARDANO's Rosen Michkov. But to his dismay, Rosen Michkov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 22nd minute Stanoy Krústenov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Eliseo Noboa fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Eliseo Noboa a yellow card for diving instead. Eliseo Noboa hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After 24 played minutes CARDANO got a freekick which was hit by Gercho Súrbinski. Slavyan Dudumov's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Slavyan Dudumov helped the player get up and apologised. After 27 played minutes CARDANO got a freekick which was hit by Slavyan Dudumov. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stanoy Krústenov in the 29th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute Rosen Michkov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Stanoy Krústenov managed to get in a good position for a shot. CARDANO's supporters rose to their feet, but Stanoy Krústenov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rosen Michkov went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stanoy Krústenov went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rosen Michkov in the 42nd minute of the match. The supporters of CARDANO booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the game, CARDANO's Rosen Michkov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. In the 47th minute, Stanoy Krústenov made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. The Costa Rica players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. CARDANO were winning 0-6.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stanoy Krústenov was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rosen Michkov got free with Benito Sanz in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When CARDANO's Stanoy Krústenov in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Rosen Michkov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Venelin Izvorski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Benito Sanz acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 60th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Slavyan Dudumov. A collision led to CARDANO getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Tinko Krosnev hit a great ball. In the 73rd match minute, CARDANO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bobi Vúrlyakov to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stanoy Krústenov in the 76th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Axel Tasis scored 1-6 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stancho Zvezdanov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 89th minute Stanoy Krústenov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Axel Tasis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stancho Zvezdanov having to interfere. After 96 minutes, Todor Tronkov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CARDANO and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 96th minute, Todor Tronkov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Costa Rica supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching CARDANO's performance. The match ended with a win for CARDANO.
