CARDANO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Honduras the free kick. Plamen Seizov kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Sebastian Villa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

CARDANO's Slavyan Dudumov got his second yellow card of the match in the 57th minute. The referee ordered Slavyan Dudumov off the ground. After 57 played minutes CARDANO got a freekick which was hit by Slavyan Dudumov. The throw-in from Bobi Vúrlyakov in the 60th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Honduras's Luca Espinar. A collision led to CARDANO getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Plamen Seizov hit a great ball. 66 minutes into the game, Bobi Vúrlyakov threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Esteban Carvallo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind CARDANO's goalkeeper Stancho Zvezdanov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bobi Vúrlyakov's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bobi Vúrlyakov helped the player get up and apologised. If Moises Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Luca Espinar hit a great ball. The corner led CARDANO's Gercho Súrbinski to fire away a dangerous shot which Lautaro Navarro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Honduras's Esteban Carvallo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Bobi Vúrlyakov in the 83 minute of the game. Stancho Zvezdanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Tafalla in the 83rd minute of play. After 89 minutes of play, Honduras's Sebastian Villa made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stancho Zvezdanov was left in no man's land by his defense there! Venelin Izvorski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Honduras were the better team. Honduras's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
