Fumo Canuto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 11 minutes, Fumo Canuto successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 14th minute, Peru's Julian Murillo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fumo Canuto. Fumo Canuto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Garoa Bencoiechea hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Peru's Milagros Fraga got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 29 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Jose Heredia came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fumo Canuto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 39th minute of the match. After 40 minutes Downchester City's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Eliseo Mina got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fumo Canuto quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
