VN SOKOLI-VARNA's Lilko Timov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 5th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 11th minute of play forced VN SOKOLI-VARNA's goalkeeper Lilko Timov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Eloi Ocomardia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Lilko Timov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lilko Timov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 21st minute of play. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lilko Timov quite easily take care of the ball. Avram Octavian thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Lilko Timov, a very annoying self made goal in the 26th minute which led to 0-1. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eloi Ocomardia in the 29th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eloi Ocomardia. In the 31st minute, Lorenzo Cazalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. VN SOKOLI-VARNA's Ayoub Adel shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 31st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Dante Lacasa but with some difficulty. Lautaro Mancebo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lilko Timov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Luca Rouco hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

55 minutes into the match, VN SOKOLI-VARNA's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Lilko Timov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Rostislav Sitarski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. A collision led to VN SOKOLI-VARNA getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Eloi Ocomardia hit a great ball. VN SOKOLI-VARNA's Lilko Timov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 64th minute of play. If Rostislav Sitarski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Facundo Cadaval fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lilko Timov having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eloi Ocomardia in the 84th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lilko Timov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 86th minute. Lilko Timov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
