Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Holger Siöberg took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Holger Siöberg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Holger Siöberg really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. In the 33rd minute, Guo Ming reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 4-0. Pinhote FC's Holger Siöberg got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joacim First showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After 41 played minutes Pinhote FC got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Andrade. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Guo Ming came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Holger Siöberg in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guo Ming, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guo Ming, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. When Pinhote FC's Holger Siöberg in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 72 minutes into the game, Joshua Secada was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pinhote FC the free kick. Through an outstanding action, after 76 minutes, Joacim First successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 77 minutes into the game, Guo Ming cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Joshua Secada hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Holger Siöberg in the 80th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute Guo Ming shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Guo Ming stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Guo Ming tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bart Buckinx charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bart Buckinx the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Pinhote FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Bart Buckinx hit a great ball. When Guo Ming fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
