A collision led to POPODARA F.C getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Niculae Miclescu hit a great ball. When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play. 9 minutes into the match, POPODARA F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Thomas Revheim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Revheim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thomas Revheim having to make a save. 20 minutes into the match, POPODARA F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Thomas Revheim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thomas Revheim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Thomas Revheim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 31st minute of the match. Thomas Revheim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Tomas Illescas put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Thomas Revheim. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 38th minute. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gard Bredesen in the 40th minute of play. Jonathan Venegas's late challenge caught a POPODARA F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Venegas helped the player get up and apologised. After 43 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, İbrahima Diallo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and İbrahima Diallo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İbrahima Diallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gard Bredesen made a kick off. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruperto Gonza in the 53rd minute of play. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gard Bredesen in the 55th minute of play. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thomas Revheim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Thomas Revheim made a huge save. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind POPODARA F.C's goalkeeper Thomas Revheim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Niculae Miclescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 67 minutes into the match, Gard Bredesen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gard Bredesen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gard Bredesen, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Bendik Bekken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. POPODARA F.C made a substitution. Jack Berland replaced Dimas Amaro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 80th minute of play forced POPODARA F.C's goalkeeper Thomas Revheim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. POPODARA F.C's Teodor Kehlibarov was substituted for Andres Iniesta. POPODARA F.C's Ådne Svensen was substituted for Bendik Bekken. When Camilo Gaos fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Camilo Gaos a yellow card for diving instead. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. It was beautiful to see POPODARA F.C's Ådne Svensen in action when he in the 88th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gard Bredesen in the 94th minute of the match. Jack Berland's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jack Berland helped the player get up and apologised. When the final whistle went the supporters of Venezuela were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant POPODARA F.C side.
