The corner led Mexico's Joel Gaona to fire away a dangerous shot which Bogdan Dyachkov despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Konstantin Lukyanovich in the 9th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, FK Amur's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Bogdan Dyachkov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bogdan Dyachkov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute Konstantin Lukyanovich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikolay Sychev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bogdan Dyachkov having to interfere. In the 29th minute Konstantin Lukyanovich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danila Skvirskiy, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After 32 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Cazalla. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danila Skvirskiy in the 34th minute of play. If Klim Lukin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Konstantin Lukyanovich in the 38th minute of play. A collision led to FK Amur getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Andrey Makhovikov hit a great ball. FK Amur's Bogdan Dyachkov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save FK Amur from getting a goal against them. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Konstantin Lukyanovich stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 62nd minute of play forced FK Amur's goalkeeper Bogdan Dyachkov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the last second Dante Lacasa throw himself and got hold of the ball when Klim Lukin in the 65thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FK Amur's Bogdan Dyachkov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 80th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Joel Gaona got a free kick in the 81st minute. Bogdan Dyachkov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mexico's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
