Niceto Virila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Pardo in the 13th minute of play. In the 17th match minute, Nuevo Horizonte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honorio Aztore to maneuver through the defense. Niceto Virila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Pardo in the 23rd minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Jaime Pardo notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Nuevo Horizonte's Niceto Virila. Niceto Virila was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Nuevo Horizonte booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Campos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raul Venegas hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. David Gagriel hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. A collision led to Nuevo Horizonte getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Leo Rutenio hit a great ball. After having played for 42 minutes, Jaime Pardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paraguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Pardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Niceto Virila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Pardo in the 45th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 55 played minutes Nuevo Horizonte got a freekick which was hit by Baldomero Lapurdi. Baldomero Lapurdi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacobo Nores stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulino Katia's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. In the 67th minute of the game Guido Lucero made a throw-in which Nemesio Meder played forward. In the 76th minute Jaime Pardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niceto Virila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Feliberto Ramirez hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 79th minute, when Paraguay's Jaime Pardo after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Niceto Virila in Nuevo Horizonte's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. Jaime Pardo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Niceto Virila made a huge save. Primitivo Escribano kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Nuevo Horizonte's Niceto Virila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Pardo in the 89th minute of play. Paulino Katia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute Paulino Katia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Paraguay left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Nuevo Horizonte.
