But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abraham Alguacil couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Panama's Felipe Ros got a free kick in the 31st minute. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aleksander Boruta in the 36th minute of play. Wincenty Prosowski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 37th minute. Isidoro Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the game, Andrzej Rakoski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Isidoro Sarmiento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Wincenty Prosowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wincenty Prosowski made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Abraham Alguacil sent off a good shot on target. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aleksander Boruta to make the kick off. When Panama's Tomas Berganza in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gruszowiec's goalie prevented a goal. Andrzej Rakoski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Marcos Cotilla made a huge save. After 70 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Ros. In the 71st minute, Aleksander Boruta fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Isidoro Sarmiento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wincenty Prosowski having to interfere. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aleksander Boruta in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Gruszowiec's goal looked a bit too open when Abraham Alguacil came free, but Wincenty Prosowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abraham Alguacil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute, Tomas Berganza made a precise shot to the right of Wincenty Prosowski. Gruszowiec's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aleksander Boruta in the 88th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Panama players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
