The tension between the Bolivia and the Nuevo Horizonte players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Bolivia's Francisco Gallo got a free kick in the 6th minute. The audience was convinced that Baldomero Lapurdi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Camilo Freixa was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. 14 minutes into the match, Bolivia's Alfonso de la Cruz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Niceto Virila narrowly saved just below the crossbar. But to his dismay, Eduardo Fontirroig quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mario Fernandino got free with Niceto Virila in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 25th minute, Alfonso de la Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guido Lucero hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Bolivia defense, Baldomero Lapurdi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Camilo Freixa. The Bolivia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Camilo Freixa should have stopped the shot. In the 46th minute Baldomero Lapurdi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Freixa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Eduardo Fontirroig kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Niceto Virila. That made the score 2-2 in the 47 minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baldomero Lapurdi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Guido Lucero fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nuevo Horizonte's protests and gave Guido Lucero a yellow card for diving instead. Guido Lucero kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, Alfredo Ferrant notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Nuevo Horizonte's Niceto Virila. Niceto Virila was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 65th minute Nuevo Horizonte were awarded a corner. Honorio Aztore went to the cornerflag to take it. If Eduardo Fontirroig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Bolivia's Eduardo Fontirroig in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nuevo Horizonte's goalie prevented a goal. Niceto Virila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso de la Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bolivia's goalkeeper Camilo Freixa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Nuevo Horizonte's zone, Eduardo Fontirroig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niceto Virila came out of the goal and Eduardo Fontirroig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Eduardo Fontirroig's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Niceto Virila was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Paulino Katia in the 86thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Camilo Freixa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Baldomero Lapurdi charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baldomero Lapurdi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Bolivia booed when Nuevo Horizonte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomero Lapurdi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benigno Chago kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. If Alfredo Ferrant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 96th minute, one of Bolivia:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bolivia. In the 98th minute Paulino Katia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Freixa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 99th minute, Eduardo Fontirroig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
