After 7 minutes Mexico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alfredo Bertran who took care of the corner kick. Alfredo Bertran made a great header on Esquirla FC's corner, it was just that Mexico's Dante Lacasa managed to reach the ball for a save. Tim Van Brussel charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tim Van Brussel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 11th match minute, Esquirla FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tim Van Brussel to maneuver through the defense. Orvar Larsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bautista Elvira, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Arlo Arruta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Esquirla FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alfredo Bertran in the 20th minute. The corner ended in Ricki Martín almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa did a great save. Esquirla FC's Bernard Swartenbroekx managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Leonardo Leoz in the 26 minute of the game. Leonardo Leoz hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Oscar Van Aerschot hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Esquirla FC's Arlo Arruta. But to his dismay, Arlo Arruta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 47th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orvar Larsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Esquirla FC's goalie prevented a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Arlo Arruta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Lacasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo in the 59thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Orvar Larsson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Arlo Arruta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. Esquirla FC's Orvar Larsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Esquirla FC from getting a goal against them. After 69 played minutes Esquirla FC got a freekick which was hit by Dedé van Beek. After 75 played minutes Esquirla FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernard Swartenbroekx. Bernard Swartenbroekx's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernard Swartenbroekx helped the player get up and apologised. Bernard Swartenbroekx hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. 77 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Esquirla FC's Orvar Larsson. Orvar Larsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 80 minutes, Arlo Arruta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esquirla FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arlo Arruta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arlo Arruta in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonardo Leoz kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Luca Rouco kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Alfredo Bertran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bernard Swartenbroekx hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Luca Zorita hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mexico players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Esquirla FC.
