Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Don Cabezon, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 19 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Don Cabezon came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dacian Nițescu came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by USA's Monty Rogers. But to his dismay, Monty Rogers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's Ryszard Owsiak got a free kick in the 27th minute. 28 minutes into the match, AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Dacian Nițescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Marco Day managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's Don Cabezon fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. USA's Marco Day proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save USA from getting a goal against them. The supporters of AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC booed when USA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edward Mcdonald didn't get a good kick on the ball. The AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. USA were winning 0-1.

USA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Don Cabezon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 59 minutes into the match, AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's goalkeeper Dacian Nițescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cassius Byrne. Edward Mcdonald's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dacian Nițescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. 61 minutes into the game, USA's Edward Mcdonald nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dacian Nițescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 65 minutes into the match, Don Cabezon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marco Day. Marco Day stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dewa Warauw's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the USA players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
