After 37 minutes CD Zhizhio's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, CD Zhizhio's goalkeeper Stasio Kowalski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stasio Kowalski having to interfere. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CD Zhizhio's Stasio Kowalski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 72nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Stasio Kowalski in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 83 minutes into the match, Paul-Émile Bolé had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paul-Émile Bolé was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 91st minute of the match Mexico got a corner. CD Zhizhio's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a little luck, CD Zhizhio's Stasio Kowalski got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line.
