The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Tasis got free with Enrique Belo in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enrique Belo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 78th minute of play. A collision led to Sakura Storm getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Tadeusz Dziechciowski hit a great ball. Napoleon Mleczewski kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After 84 minutes of play Sakura Storm's Gervasio Zumista was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Costa Rica's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
