Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Zebastian Bergfeldt made the kick off and thus started the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ralph Roeles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zebastian Bergfeldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jan de Vlieger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Ralph Roeles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 21st minute of play. If Bengt Petersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Emiliano Caiola was slow to take the kick. During this time Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's players had a chance to rest. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Jan de Vlieger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Jan de Vlieger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st minute Jan de Vlieger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Szegh in the 45th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jakov Cvjetković, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Ralph Roeles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zebastian Bergfeldt in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Ralph Roeles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. In the 68th minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th minute, Patricio Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 74 minutes, Karel Kimman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Julias Rascals Apeldoorn and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. Karel Kimman kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Joshua Secada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Jan de Vlieger came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Julias Rascals Apeldoorn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan de Vlieger couldn't finish the play. 83 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ralph Roeles. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Illescas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emiliano Caiola's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Karel Kimman in the 95th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Alex Chicote. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Venezuela supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Venezuela would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
