The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Ralph Roeles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 7th minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zebastian Bergfeldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 11th minute of play forced Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's goalkeeper Ralph Roeles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Zebastian Bergfeldt dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Ralph Roeles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ralph Roeles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 21st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 22nd minute of play forced Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's goalkeeper Ralph Roeles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zebastian Bergfeldt in the 33rd minute of play. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ralph Roeles having to make a save. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Emiliano Caiola was slow to take the kick. During this time Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Emiliano Caiola got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ralph Roeles having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 47th minute of play forced Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's goalkeeper Ralph Roeles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan de Vlieger in the 55th minute of play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes in the game, Cristian Sancho fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ralph Roeles having to interfere. Daniel Zorita in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ralph Roeles, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Juan Sebastián Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Felix Montenegro hit a great ball. After having played for 85 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Kurt van der Laan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Julias Rascals Apeldoorn had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
