After having played for 18 minutes, Alberigo Addari managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Duri come il marmo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberigo Addari was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jose Correa's late challenge caught a Duri come il marmo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jose Correa helped the player get up and apologised. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Emiliano Polito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Duri come il marmo's Emilio Rizzo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Duri come il marmo's Mary Cau couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 28th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Venezuela. In the 30th match minute, Duri come il marmo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adriano Bianchini to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Corrado Contestabile tried to sneak it across the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Duri come il marmo's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Emiliano Polito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emiliano Polito was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Corrado Contestabile scored 1-0 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emilio Rizzo was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Guillermo Mariano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mary Cau in the 52nd minute of play. Corrado Contestabile made a great header on Duri come il marmo's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Tomas Illescas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Emiliano Polito. That made the score 1-1 in the 56 minute of play. Emiliano Polito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 59th minute of play. In the 60thth minute of the game Alberigo Addari who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberigo Addari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilio Rizzo in the 76th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Rizzo in the 82nd minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, Emilio Rizzo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emilio Rizzo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got a free kick in the 87th minute. In the 88th minute, Alberigo Addari made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. In the 91st minute Alberigo Addari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Duri come il marmo walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
