BOMBILLO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabriel Gaviria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 7th match minute, BOMBILLO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xaiver Gala to maneuver through the defense. Yánez Principe kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Yoel Cañaveral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Moises Fernandino in the 19th minute. The supporters of El Salvador booed when BOMBILLO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xaiver Gala didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute, Moises Fernandino reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Yoel Cañaveral. The goal made the score 1-0. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cortez Pas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Tamayo to maneuver through the defense. Moises Fernandino who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Yoel Cañaveral when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Moises Fernandino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Jesus Carvallo got a free kick in the 34th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Moises Fernandino made a kick off. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cortez Pas, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Moises Fernandino got a free kick in the 57th minute. Ricardo Zorita was a little too slow when Cortez Pas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 65th minute. The score was now 1-1. Zxavian Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Moises Fernandino put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Yoel Cañaveral. Duarte Zarzosa made in the 75th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Jairo Maleta immediately put the ball in play. After 77 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Abram Luque. Zxavian Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cortez Pas in the 82nd minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cortez Pas in the 84th minute of play. BOMBILLO's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Adolfo Luengo in the 85th minute. Adolfo Luengo made a great header on BOMBILLO's corner, it was just that El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita managed to reach the ball for a save. After 90 played minutes BOMBILLO got a freekick which was hit by Zxavian Duarte. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The El Salvador fans cheered their team off the field, for while BOMBILLO had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
