Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Görkem Melih didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. 14 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Görkem Melih narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute Vassilis Kopsinis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Tomas Illescas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Görkem Melih. That made the score 1-0 in the 22 minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vassilis Kopsinis in the 24th minute of play. After 33 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. Turan Dede's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. With a little luck, AkInCı's Görkem Melih got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, AkInCı's Vassilis Kopsinis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vassilis Kopsinis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Vassilis Kopsinis made the kick off in the second half. In the 63rd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Görkem Melih having to interfere. Kjell Lennartsson made in the 72nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Seyfullah Kıncal immediately put the ball in play. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Vassilis Kopsinis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Vassilis Kopsinis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Görkem Melih having to make a save. Görkem Melih showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vassilis Kopsinis in the 80th minute of the match. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Görkem Melih tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vassilis Kopsinis in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Görkem Melih made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 98th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
