In the 17th minute Bendegúz Ördög shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 53 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Bendegúz Ördög came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Örs Novák charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Örs Novák the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Nimród Vére was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Örs Novák didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute, Jaime Pardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tivadar Sörös kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, Nimród Vére could leave the field as winners, despite Paraguay having more of the ball for most of the match.
