Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Igor Mota started the match with the kick off. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guaberto Gamus having to interfere. Guaberto Gamus stood somewhat misplaced when Felix Montenegro came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 5 minute. Guaberto Gamus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute. Flávio Arósio charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Flávio Arósio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Bandeca FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Flávio Arósio hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 27th minute of play forced Bandeca FC's goalkeeper Guaberto Gamus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 29th minute, which Guaberto Gamus however easily saved by the left post. With a little luck, Bandeca FC's Guaberto Gamus got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Guaberto Gamus in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 35 minutes into the match, Bandeca FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Guaberto Gamus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Mota in the 39th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Bandeca FC's Tiago Ortiz got a free kick in the 44th minute. Guaberto Gamus didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the match clock showed 51 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Felix Montenegro sped through Bandeca FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Guaberto Gamus. In the 54th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Gamus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bandeca FC were furious when Márcio de Salles was red carded, 56 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 57th minute, Márcio de Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 58 minutes into the match, Bandeca FC's goal looked a bit too open when Primitivo Andino came free, but Guaberto Gamus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st match minute, Bandeca FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flávio Arósio to maneuver through the defense. 66 minutes into the match, Agustín Saelices notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Bandeca FC's Guaberto Gamus. Guaberto Gamus was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bandeca FC made a substitution. Arlindo de Carvalho replaced David Prestes. Bandeca FC's Waldir Marquez was substituted for Hugo Ribeiro. In the 70th match minute, Bandeca FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Mota to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 76th minute of play forced Bandeca FC's goalkeeper Guaberto Gamus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guaberto Gamus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 77th minute of play. In the 80th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Gamus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 85th minute of play forced Bandeca FC's goalkeeper Guaberto Gamus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Bandeca FC defense, Luis Andino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guaberto Gamus. The Bandeca FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guaberto Gamus should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Hunor Adam stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Hunor Adam tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ecuador's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
